Community Membership Options

Focused on creating math modeling resources and content for each and every student, we’ve modified our membership options to make it easier to join our math community and get access to an abundance of resources. If you’re an educator, a student, an industry professional, an educational institution, or if you’re just interested in applied problem solving and mathematical and interdisciplinary modeling, we have something for you.

Online Math Resources for Educators

We provide many resources free to our members through memberships as mentioned above. Some of our most popular resources that you will have access to when you join as a free member are listed below:

• Mathematical Modeling Modules: This is a series of modules designed for teaching mathematics through the modeling of real-world phenomena. 
• Consortium: Our expanded newsletter blends contemporary teaching activities with commentaries, articles, and contest results and information to bring the excitement of mathematical modeling to high school classrooms. 
• GAIMME (Guidelines for Assessment and Instruction in Mathematical Modeling Education): Partnering with the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM), this report was created to motivate the educational community to make a place for mathematical modeling in curriculum, from pre-K through undergraduate levels.
• UMAP: Our journal for undergraduate instructors and students of mathematics containing an eclectic mix of articles.

We are very excited to launch our very first math and math modeling blog. Math Modeling Contests

As always, our website includes information on math modeling contests we hold during the year for middle school, high school, and undergraduate students. Learn more about our math contests through the links below: 

• HiMCM/MidMCM: International math modeling contests designed to provide high school and middle school students with the opportunity to work as team members to engage and improve their modeling, problem solving, and writing skills. 
• MCM/ICM: International math modeling contests for high school students and college undergraduates where teams of up to three students analyze, model, solve, and present solution reports to an open-ended application problem.
• IM2C: International Mathematical Modeling Challenge promotes the teaching of mathematical modeling and applications across the globe. The IM2C provides students with the enriching experience of working as a member of a team in applying mathematics learned in school in order to solve a relevant real-world problem.
