As a student, it can be difficult to find value in concepts whose purpose seems limited to problem sets and assessments. I studied modeling-first differential equations using this text with my teacher, Robert Albritton at Northside College Prep High School, Chicago IL USA, and am pleased to be broadening my scope through the text at USAFA. This textbook's modeling approach consistently demonstrates how differential equations are powerful tools for solving practical, real-world problems.
