Complex Numbers In Basic
Author: Ralph P. Grimaldi
First courses in abstract or modern applied algebra are concerned with the investigation of mathematical structures, such as groups and rings, along with certain fundamental properties they, or their associated substructures, possess. Following this foundation work on algebraic structures students then find themselves wrestling with the key concept, isomorphism. Isomorphism is derived from Greek: the prefix, iso, from meaning identical, the stem, morphism, from morphe, which refers to shape or structure.
